You don't need a Lightning address to submit work on Ordain. We ask for one when a commission settles and there is a payment to send you. A Lightning address looks like an email address: yourname@provider.com. The right wallet depends on where you are.
Free app for iOS and Android. Your Lightning address is yourname@strike.me. The simplest option for US users. Available in all states except New York.
Browser extension and mobile app. Your address is yourname@getalby.com. Works in all 50 states and globally.
New York's BitLicense regulation prevents most custodial Lightning services from operating in the state. Strike, Cash App Lightning, Coinbase Lightning, and Wallet of Satoshi are all unavailable to New York residents.
If you are in New York and have no access to a Lightning address, tell us when we ask for one at settlement, and we will arrange payment another way.
